What drew you to start taking Pilates/Barre?
" I started taking Pilates after knee surgery in 2000. I had been told I would need a knee replacement in 5 to 10 years (I still have not had the surgery)."
How often do you take Pilates/Barre?
"I began taking a mat class, and the a private session once a week. I sometimes do a reformer class or mat class, but have consistently done a private session with Tobie for over 7 years."
How has Pilates/Barre made a difference in your physical performance?
"I have regained ¾ inch in height, straightened out my posture and strengthened my body. I also try to do Barre class twice a week which has increased strength, endurance and keeps me mentally challenged."
How has it helped with your mental focus, motivation, and attitude?
"I have grandchildren that I want to be able to play with and have sleep-overs and be very present in their lives and I credit both Pilates and Barre with being able to keep up physically and mentally."
What is the most noticeable transformation you've noticed from your Pilates/Barre practice?
" My doctor is impressed with the height increase and the fact that I have come out of osteoporosis and have improved to osteopenia. Part of that is diet and supplements, but most is the result of Pilates and Barre."
